Unseen: A Pop-Up Book
“Unseen” is a pop-up book that invites participants to engage in the tangibility of a complex subject. The story is told from the perspective of a publicly shy teenage girl and centers on a dinner party held at home. A series of fragmented interior thoughts evolve, taking the form of tiny poems, which are concealed and revealed through four rooms of the house. “Unseen” is an attempt to express the hidden complexities of tensions inherent in public shyness, such as the desire for social interaction versus a stubborn reluctance to follow social scripts.
